"2023 Craft Distillery Of The Year!"

M&O has earned notable accolades, including the 2023 Best American Craft Spirit and Craft Distillery of the Year from the John BarleyCorn Society, which also awarded its
"Batch 27" Cask Strength bourbon x2 Double Gold, Single Gold and a 96/100 rating. Other honors include Double Gold, x5 Single Gold, Silver and a 90/100 rating for "Smoke" bourbon whiskey along with Double Gold and x2 Single Gold for "Black" bourbon whiskey including a growing list of awards and accolades for their other fine products.

The distillery attributes its success to Ohio-grown grains—corn, wheat, and rye—with Canadian malted barley, aged in Ohio-made charred white-oak barrels. M&O’s products include unique offerings like seasonal pumpkin-spice whiskey, 4x distilled Ta-Da! white wheat whiskey, premium potato vodka, and cask-strength bourbons available exclusively at the distillery.

Founded by longtime friends McLaughlin and Orozco, M&O began in McLaughlin's basement in 2014 and launched its first release in 2020. They now operate in a 1,750-square-foot warehouse, producing 20 barrels annually, equivalent to 1,500 bottles, distributed to local retailers and restaurants.

Future plans include building a rick-house to expand production. M&O also offers $15 facility tours by appointment, and McLaughlin crafts leather goods sold alongside their spirits.
